ABOUT THE ROLE
Estimator – Underground Utility Contractors & Site Development
Established site development and underground utility contractor based in Cartersville, Georgia is seeking an Estimator with 2–4 years of experience in sitework and underground utility construction.
We are looking for a motivated individual who understands how civil projects are built and can develop accurate, competitive estimates for projects throughout North Georgia and the greater Atlanta area.
Typical Projects Include:
Water distribution systems
Sanitary sewer systems
Storm drainage systems
Mass and structural earthwork
Clearing and demolition
Grading and site development
Aggregate base and asphalt paving
Sidewalks and curbs and gutters
Erosion control for construction sites
Commercial, industrial, and municipal sitework projects
Preferred Qualifications:
2–4 years of estimating experience in underground utilities, heavy civil or site development construction
Working knowledge of water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage construction
Experience estimating excavation, grading and sitework
Ability to read civil construction plans and specifications
Experience with digital takeoff and estimating software
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Bluebeam Revu experience preferred
Understanding of construction equipment, crew production and material requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Field experience in underground utility or site development construction is a plus.
